It’s a crazy thought, but yesterday was our seven month anniversary of fulltime living. It was December 12th that we pulled the fiver out of the driveway for the final time, and arrived at this campground.
This was the picture of our first meal here in the fiver as fulltime rv-ers. It was such a great night.
Yesterday’s anniversary was pretty low-key.
It was a gorgeous day as you can see from the temperatures, and we spent a couple relaxing hours in the pool.
During the week we pretty much have the campground to ourselves. Later in the afternoon, there’s a better chance of people using a day pass to go swimming, so we generally go over to the pool around 11 or so.
Today was our long run day, and I have to say I am feeling so good about my running. It was about seven weeks ago that we started our training, and that day I was only able to run 0.87 miles before I had to walk. Today we ran the whole nine miles. We did stop for a couple water breaks, but didn’t have to walk at all. I still can’t believe it. The half marathon is 4 weeks from today, and I am going to be ready.
We are enjoying the nice weather this weekend before the 3 H’s return for most of the next week. We have been thankful for our a/c this summer. If we were still in the house, we would be sweltering.
Congrats on your seven months as full-time RVers. My mind goes back to last year this time..... Amazing, isn't it? We're doing good, enjoying full-time RV living and glad you and Harry are too.
ReplyDeleteYou and Harry both look so happy in the pictures you post here and on FB. So happy for you. And so IMPRESSED with your running!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!! ON both the running & anniversary.
ReplyDeleteTime flies when you are having fun! An apt expression for your anniversary
ReplyDeleteIt is going so fast, isn't it!? You are doing terrific on your running. I bet you can't wait until you do the half-marathon!
ReplyDeleteJessica,
ReplyDeleteCongrats in the anniversary. We are down the road a bit in Florida, NY at Blackbear where Sue is workamping. We were wondering about wintering at Brookside. We have been there a couple of years ago over the Christmas holidays but cannot remember if they had full hook ups with winter water. When you stayed there this past winter did you have water?
Hope you continue to enjoy.
Les and Sue (Bigboomer)
Hi Les,
DeleteYes, they have six active hookups with water over the winter (and six more available if needed). It's the area on the right side in my header picture. Jerry (the owner) puts heat tape and insulation on the water spigots. He is really good about keeping the campground road plowed too.
Thanks Jessica. We may take a trip up to speak with Jerry about this winter in the next couple of weeks. Try to stay cool this week it sounds like it is gonna be a hot one!
ReplyDeleteI sent your a PM through the RV dreams forum. :)
DeleteCongrats on the anniversary and great job on the run. I got out of the store at 3 yesterday and had the pool to myself for an hours, nice to get some time in it with out all of the families, love the weekdays now more than the weekends.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 7 month anniversary!! It IS a wonderful life!!
ReplyDeleteWell, the seven months is one thing, but the running results are pretty awesome I'd say! Good on ya.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
