A Quiet Week

This has been a no news week. In some cases that has been good, and in others, not so much. I haven’t heard anything back from my doctor’s appointment on Tuesday. That is definitely a case of no news being GOOD news. But we also haven’t heard anything further about the condo sale. Everything we have been told indicates that the sale will close, but when that will be, no one can say. This has seemed like such a never ending process. I realize that this is partly because we agreed to wait for this buyer, as her lease is up at the end of May, and she could not afford to buy the condo a couple months ago. That made our selling process longer than a normal sale, and I still don’t regret that. You know, a bird in the hand being worth two in the bush… However, we did expect that we would close by the date listed in the contract, which is today! And it is so discouraging to have gotten to this day, and still be waiting. <sigh> Maybe we will hear something today.

It’s been a rainy week. Overnight we had a really heavy rainstorm, and we even had to close our windows for a while. On the positive side, everything sure is green and very lush-looking. I am still enjoying sight of green lawns and leaves on the trees after what seemed like a very long and snowy winter.

We will be heading out on a road trip tomorrow up to the Adirondacks, where Harry is going to experience his first ever michigan hot dog!! Having grown up in the Adirondacks, it amazes me to think that someone could have lived this close to upstate New York, and never have sampled a michigan. Smile I’m excited to share this little piece of my childhood home with Harry this weekend. It’s going to be fun.

Happy Friday everyone! Have a great day!

They call it "Koegels...serve the curve".
Many snowbirds take a freezer full of Koegels hot dogs when they head South because you can only find them in Michigan! Enjoy!!
