Location: Catskill, NY (High 67, Low 52)
Yesterday it was time to pack up and head for our next stop. We were happy to see blue skies and calm winds after several days of rainy, blustery weather.
We originally planned to travel the whole way on NY 32, but after 16 miles traveling up and down windy country roads, we decided to get on I-88 in Oneonta to Albany instead. It made for a much smoother ride and we were happy we decided to adjust our route.
Our trip was pretty quick, about two and a half hours, and it didn’t seem like too long before we saw the sign for our exit.
Although we have really enjoyed seeing new places and exploring unfamiliar roads over the past few months, there is also something very nice about seeing familiar sights.
We are back in the same site we had in December and January, and it is so much nicer without freezing temperatures and the possibility of having to shovel snow!
We will be here now for the next two months. We are looking forward to lots of family time, seeing friends, and also taking care of stuff like doctor’s and dentist’s appointments.
We are ready to enjoy upstate NY’s wonderful summer season!
Sure looks better with sunshine and green stuff. Have a wonderful time with the family and friends. Doctor's and dentist's - not so much fun but necessary.
ReplyDeleteNice that you are in the same campground as before. Familiar is good!
ReplyDeleteSomehow most of us still head "home" for a while each year.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to stop by and say hi :). We only have internet when we drive into West Yellowstone, so I haven't been able to comment as often. Glad to see you guys are doing well :).
