Yesterday, Harry and I decided to take advantage of an extra day off to do something completely different. I looked at a website called My Scenic Drives for suggestions in VT, and one of the routes was pretty close. So I scoped out a big circle which included a section of “Scenic Vermont Rt. 100” and we headed out yesterday around 10 am to check it out in search of some foliage.
While it was a nice day, and we had an enjoyable time, many of the areas were already way past peak, and we drove in and out of dreary clouded areas. I did get a few nice shots though.
It seems that the peak was within one day this year! It stayed warm so long, and didn't get those very cold nights to start the process. Beautiful shots of the color!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite season. I enjoyed your photos showing the beautiful fall colors. What a nice tour.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favorite season too!..love the changing leaves!..looks like you had a nice day for a drive!
ReplyDeleteNice photos even if the colors aren't as bright this year. In PA they never reached their full color, at least in my neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favorite time of year also, nice time for winding down from all the summer busyness.
Like the other comments, I too, love autumn!!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed you have some showings on you house this weekend!
Hope you sell your home rapidly and can head south to warmer temps. Me personally...RV and Snow don't go together...lol.
