Yesterday was another gorgeous day, and perfect for our planned activity of the day – going over the Port Kent Ferry to Burlington, VT. This ferry trip is longer than the one we took the other day – almost an hour. But the nice thing is it puts you right in the city of Burlington, so you can go over as foot passengers, which is a lot cheaper and easier than taking the car.
It was a beautiful day for a ride.
After arriving in Burlington, we walked the short distance to the Church Street Marketplace.
It’s a cool place to meander around looking at the shops, and there are a lot of outside cafes.
We found a great place to have lunch, and followed it up by a visit to our current favorite ice cream shop.
Then it was time to catch a ferry heading back to NY, and call it a day.
I hoped you'd find the B & J's on church street, was a great day to be downtown and on the lake. Did you find the farmers market too.
ReplyDeleteNo I saw it on the map, but we didn't make it there. We had just a bit more time before the ferry we wanted to catch, and the boys wanted to check out a comic book store we had passed. :)
DeleteWe're on our way! Thanks for the preview!
ReplyDeleteI love ferry rides and yours looks like it was especially beautiful!! Glad you all had a good day!
