Last Working Weekend Before a Break

IMG_2210

We have spent this weekend doing what has become the usual – tackling one job after another and crossing them off the list. Both Harry and I are very tired of spending most of our free moments just about every weekend working on the house. We have been able to keep our motivation up by keeping an eye on the calendar. When we take out our trip weekends, we have ten more weekends to work on the house before October. So we continue to keep our eye on the finish line when we are tempted to take a day off.

Harry spent some time doing some maintenance items in preparation for our trip this week.

The door to the office is finished, and looking good!

I don’t remember whether I ever updated on this, but a few weeks ago we took down the canopy frame that was on our back deck.

Our last real big project awaits us after we get back from Lake George…

We wish it was in good shape, and an asset for the sale, but alas, it is not. It doesn’t even have a roof, just a tarp pulled across the top. It has been on our list to do since the beginning, but we delayed until this summer as we wanted to tie this project in with getting a dumpster. So this will be our next job.

But first, we have a few days to relax!! Only one more day until we head to Lake George, and our first Heartland Owners Rally!!

  1. Have a great time at your Rally and totally forget about the jobs waiting at home. They will still be there when you get back so just have fun.
