Time is starting to tick down now! We are a week and a half from our move date. The furniture we have left is spoken for – the only things we still have to deal with are the odds and ends.
This morning while I was at work, my sister-in-law came by and picked up our snow blower. They live in the snow belt, so I am sure my brother will get a lot of use out of it.
After I got home, I started taking all of the items out of our kitchen cupboards. There really isn’t much left – The cupboards are now completely empty, and I have little piles on the countertops. I could get it all out into the fiver today, but the hard thing is timing.
We are still in the house, and using the kitchen on a daily basis. We can’t bring everything out to the fiver yet, because then we just end up running out there every five minutes bringing something back in. So what I am trying to do now is to sort out what we won’t be keeping. A trip to Goodwill is in our future. (The stuff to the right in the second picture is Harry’s new camera equipment.)
I think we have two cats who are going to be very pleased to get out to their new home. I feel sorry for them with barely any furniture left in this house. And only wood floors. They do like sleeping on our bed, but they also like being in the same room with us. So today I put a towel on the floor in the living room to give them a little spot that might be more comfortable. Ariel also likes sleeping on a scratching “thing” that we bought at Petsmart. But their resting spots are few and far between right now. Our bed is feeling pretty crowded at night.
So that’s the current state of affairs right now – as far as the house sale goes we are just waiting for the results of the water purity test. That is the LAST piece. Our realtor was hopeful that we would hear any day now. Which hopefully will be Monday or Tuesday. And we have only ten days left until we move to Brookside Campground in Catskill, NY.
