The last few days have been busy ones around here.
We haven’t taken any more rides in the truck, but it sure is nice to have it sitting out in our driveway. The thought that we could buy the fifth wheel at any time is so exciting.
On Sunday Harry took the computer outside to “show” the truck to Gretchen.
We also spent some time on the weekend getting the downstairs guestroom emptied out.
Before…
And after…
We are accumulating LARGE piles of STUFF to get rid of in this year’s garage sales.
Today it has been raining all day. Everything is greening up.
My tulips are almost ready to open. Last year it got hot all of a sudden and many of them just wilted without opening. Hopefully this year I can enjoy the flowers a bit. (Guess I didn’t have to worry about them opening while I was away on vacation.)
I heard from the realtor today. Our condo sale is on track, and we expect a closing early in the week of May 16th. So in about 12 – 16 days the condo will be a part of our history. We are so glad that we decided to sell, because I don’t know if we would have moved on a truck if we still had to think about paying the condo mortgage and expenses. So that all definitely worked out for the best.
This has sure been a big news week. This week I have been extra proud to be American, and very proud of the military men and women who serve our country so well. To all of our armed forces, past and present - THANK YOU for your service!!
Dang it, I have a fifth wheel and no truck, and you have a truck and no fifth wheel!
ReplyDeleteI do so wish that we were as close as you two to realizing the 'dream'!!..seems like it is such a long way off still!
ReplyDeleteThings are really moving along well - even the weather is better.
ReplyDelete2013 may come a lot sooner than you think!
ReplyDeleteA nice fifth wheel would be great for shorter local trips while you are still needing to work.
Nice to have spring blooming and making progress towards the dream!
