Hope everyone has been having a wonderful Fourth of July weekend!!
It’s been a great weekend, but it went by so fast! We have been working on our top priorities for “to-dos” and have actually been making some headway.
Yesterday we took time out to enjoy some time with my sister and her family. It was raining – again!
It was the first chance we’ve had to show people around the rv, and it was nice to hang out and relax over some snacks.
Here, the kids are checking out the truck through the window.
I’m not sure who is entertaining who here!!
It was so much fun to hang out and chat.
Then we headed back to the house to bbq some hamburgers and hotdogs. And the skies even dried up for a time, which was nice.
Today we started the day with a wonderful brunch – eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, bagels! Yum. We needed energy for the tasks of the day.
Then I got back to work in the office. I have actually made some progress in there – enough that I can actually post some pictures!
Both of these pieces of furniture will be out of here in three weeks!
You would be more impressed if I posted the before pictures, but given the state of the office when it was in “before” condition, I didn’t take any.
Meanwhile Harry started working on plugging holes in the underbody of the rv.
We don’t want any little mouse or chipmunk condos being built in here!
Our other line of defense was resting up, in case their services are needed later.
It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!
So that’s been our weekend in a nutshell! It has been so great to have an extra day off. We have one more day to straighten up around here before our appointment with the realtor on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see how that goes.
Happy 4th of July, Harry and Jessica!!..mouse hole pluggin!..sounds exciting!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good 4th! Least the weather cooperated part of the time.
ReplyDeleteYour cats look like they're as hard at work as our cats usually are. They have such a hard life! :-)
ReplyDeleteHarry sure looks like he's enjoying that breakfast! Hope he got all the mouse holes plugged up cuz those kitty kats look too well fed to care LOL!
ReplyDeleteSo far we've been lucky - no mice or other such critters. But, I do hear they can cause problems.
ReplyDeleteNever let the rain get your down, right?
Glad to hear you had a great 4th of July weekend.
ReplyDeleteI noticed Harry has the front landing jacks sitting on some fairly high stone pads. Unless there is a specific reason for that, he might want to check on that.
When I first started out with our 5'er, I was told it's just a longer way to fall when I did the same thing. I'm no expert though. It might be something to ask around about though. I just use one block now about 2" thick.
Hi Harry and Jessica, I envy your plan to sell your house and travel. You're going to have SO much fun. I didn't realize there was such a strong community of RVers! I was going to write you a note but couldn't find a contact e-mail...thank you for adding me to your blogroll. Your cats are beautiful!
