A Huge Success!

Well, for the past three weeks (at least), we have been…

…accumulating….

…sorting…

and carting stuff off to my sister’s office for today’s yard sale.

And today it all came together.

Harry left bright and early this morning at 7 am for my sister’s. When he arrived a little before 8, people were already gathering even though the sale wasn’t supposed to actually start until 9 am. I was not able to go until this afternoon since I had to work until 2. (I brought nourishment for the hard working yard sale staff!)

We had a huge amount of stuff for this sale! The first two tables and the stuff on the ground around those tables is almost all from our place.

The sale was a great success! We sold almost everything.

This is all that’s left. IMG_4808And actually we even got rid of something in this picture – the green storage bins are gone.

The only thing we will keep for now are the skis, poles, etc. We will sell those when it is closer to winter and people are more in the mood to think about winter sports.

The rest is still sitting in the back of our truck, and we will take it to Goodwill in the morning.

And then…time to clean the garage – that’s tomorrow’s project. Yippee! So much stuff gone! AND, we made $203.10 for our rv startup fund. Smile A very good day.

  1. Now that's what I call a garage sale!! Looks like you did indeed have a lot of success and got a good start on your "fund". Good for you.

  3. Yay! What a happy feeling, non? What's funny is, I find that after a couple of months or so, I need to go through and purge stuff again -- it's so funny how FAST stuff accumulates! Or perhaps I just notice it more now that we're in an RV! Congrats to y'all! :)

  8. We have found that if a yardsale is advertised for 8, people are there by 7. If 7, expect people at 6!

Congrats on paring down a bit.
