Summer Days

We are having beautiful summer weather up here. With the more extreme heat having passed, we are enjoying highs in the 80s, lows in the 50s for great sleeping weather. We haven’t had much rain though. The weatherman says we are in the typical summer pattern when we can go weeks without much rain. We could use some showers. Harry and I have been watering the lawns which we don’t normally do. With our pictures coming up next weekend, we are working to keep our grass somewhat green.

I got an email last night saying our bagsters are on the list to be picked up today. We will be glad to have them off our lawn. We are wondering what our grass is going to look like underneath.

Harry’s back is slowly improving. He is staying home from work today to take it easy.

Believe it or not, we are once again contemplating a change in our timing. We were tossing around ideas about how we would deal with Harry’s working if our house closing were to take place in January. We know there is a campground about two and a half hours from here that is open year round. We had a thought! If our house were to sell sooner, Harry could come up and work for three or four days, and stay overnight at my sister’s place. So Harry said, well, if that would work for a few weeks, what do you say we put the house up a little sooner? And of course, I said SURE!! So, we have moved our house on sale date a MONTH to September 15th!!! Do we sound eager to hit the road? That’s because, WE ARE!! Open-mouthed smile

Speaking of…11 days until our next outing…

  1. We can certainly understand your eagerness to 'hit the road'!! We've moved dates around a LOT too! We've been living in our Key Largo for just over a year now and have taken it on the road for a few short trips here and there but are definitely ready for a change of scenery. We'll be hitting the road 8/10...but just for a change of scenery we'll be moving to a different park 7/30! Can't wait!

  2. Good for you! I'm so excited for you two. I thought you were really close to listing your house. Now the fun comes in staging it. Staging is fun too, since you get to temporarily decorate the house to make it even more appealing.

  3. Looking back, we kept changing our "take off" date for a variety of reasons too. So, you are typical of most of us.
