On Saturday of this past weekend, we headed north to the Adirondacks for a couple days. As I mentioned in a post a few days ago, our weather guy had said that the foliage in the Lake George area was at peak. I don’t know where he was looking!
There were some sections with nice color…
but there were also a lot of places with a lot of green!
We got off Exit 30, which goes through a lot of winding roads and by a lot of hiking trail entrances.
There were so many cars lined up by the hiking trails. It was such a beautiful day – I bet the views on the trails were awesome. Too bad I wasn’t up to hiking.
After a two and a half hour trip, we arrived at the town of AuSable Forks.
This makes me laugh every time I go home to visit my mother – what do you do if you have an extra “Welcome” sign? Just put one right after the other!! Gotta love small towns.
I love Lake George area, what a beautiful trip!
