Back to Normal

The storm is over and we are back to normal outside. It’s hard to tell for sure how many inches we got because the wind was blowing so hard. But the best estimate seems to be 24 to 26 inches, although we have drifts that are much deeper than that.

This is what our back deck looks like – more than 26 inches out here.

Now we have to go out there and clean it off before the weekend, because we are supposed to have a little mini heatwave in a couple days – going up to the 40s!! Talk about crazy weather. If that snow is still there at that time, it will all pack down and turn into a hard icy mess when the cold returns. Thinking smile Been there, done that. How long is it until spring?

  1. That's a lot of snow - and a lot of work to clean it up. Hopefully, the warmer weather will take care of most of it!

  2. Glad to hear it is all over for you. That means the end is in sight for us further north of you. Spring is just not close enough.

How many more days to the rally?

  4. About four months I'm afraid!

I never minded winter all that much in Wisconsin, except when I was a kid and we didn't really have warm enough clothes.
