Thanksgiving Dinner

As I mentioned a few days ago, we have been working to downsize our freezer for a while. One of the big food items that we had left in there was a 16 pound turkey! So today was turkey day!

Harry and I make different types of dressings, and I made mine at Christmas, so today was Harry’s turn. Yummy!

For the most part, today was a relaxing sort of day, but we did spend a little time this morning getting the hardware put together in the bathrooms.

I think they both look really nice.

Rose Thanksgiving Aug.

This afternoon, our friend Rose arrived, and we spent the rest of the day hanging out and chatting.

The turkey was wonderful! Actually the whole meal was delicious…turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, a yellow squash casserole and cranberry sauce. We finished up with a piece of cheesecake.

After hanging out for a while longer, we reluctantly called it a night. What a great day! Rose left for home, with some charges – my plants, which she has graciously agreed to “plant-sit” for me. It did seem weird to see them go. But it is time – we have only four weeks left. Smile
