A Walk Around the Town

After we arrived in the big town of AuSable Forks Be right back, we decided to go for a walk. I am trying to keep up my exercise. I haven’t done anywhere near the exercise that I was doing before my encounter with appendicitis, but every week I am able to do more. (I lost ten pounds in the three weeks right after I got sick, and I am determined to keep it off! Might as well have some good outcome from this surgery!)

We started out by walking toward a spot near the river where we had noticed some color on our drive through town. There are still some green leaves hanging on! (As always, you can click on the picture to make it larger.)

In the center of town there is a little square with a nice spot for a picture. You can tell who was carrying the camera. Winking smile (When I was growing up, there was an old dilapidated building on this corner – it looks much nicer now!)

After the above picture we walked down the street in the background, and then we came to the spot where we took the next picture. There are three places in town where you will pass by the same river.

Fancy building huh? Notice the sign in the window. Would you be interested in checking out the “stuff” in this place? Sarcastic smile

I thought the tree on this corner was beautiful.

That was the end of our walk. It took us about 40 minutes and we walked pretty much through the whole of downtown AuSable! Hope you enjoyed the tour. Open-mouthed smile

  1. I'm glad you have recovered and are back into the swing of things.

You have a beautiful area for a walkabout.

Fall is my favorite time of year, the wonderful smells in the air, beautiful colors, and cooler nights. Its a welcome relief after a long hot summer.

Take care and enjoy this beautiful weather while it lasts. BTW, love the new pic!
