A Chilly Friday Morning

Brrrr….it is cold out, 12 degrees at the present time. Up in Saranac Lake, which is near Lake Placid, and not too far from my hometown, it was –11 according to our news this morning. It seems a little early in the winter for the temps to be going down so much – I hope this isn’t a foreshadowing of what the rest of our winter is going to be like. We’re definitely going to be ready for our trip to Tennessee in April, when we are traveling to the RV-Dreams Rally. Open-mouthed smile

Yesterday was a quick day. I headed to work for 10 am, to find out the exciting news that we were having a bonus amount deposited with our paychecks yesterday. That was unexpected, and a great way to start the day. After work, Harry and I headed to Albany to meet a friend for Chinese at my favorite buffet. The evening went so fast, and I was shocked to look at my watch and see that it was 8:30! By the time we got home, it was after 9, and I decided it was too late to try for a blog entry. Sleepy smile

I can’t believe that two weeks from today is Christmas Eve! Although I have gotten a lot done in preparation for the holiday, I haven’t even started what is my least favorite tradition for this time of year – Christmas cards!! Luckily Harry and I don’t have tons to send, but still, I have to make myself sit down and get to it. I hope to get those done this weekend. Now, that will be a great feeling! Plus, my company’s Christmas party is tomorrow night, so that will be a fun outing. We missed it last year, so I am looking forward to it. (It is my first one since I’ve only worked here for two years.) Sounds like another busy (meaning fast) weekend coming up!

  1. Stay warm Jessica. Hopefully the storm will not be a factor Sat night and Sun morning. I hear it was around zero up in our neck of the woods too. My daughter is still recovering from all of the snow the last few days. Take care.

  2. Growing up in upstate NY, I was used to those temps. I hope to avoid them permanently now.

Always nice to get a bonus!

  3. Yeah, I know what you mean - I've lived here all my life, so I am used to them, but I'm also tired of them. LOL We have three more winters here, and then we hope to be able to avoid cold and snow for the most part as well! :)
