It’s Hot!

Yes, I know that much of the country has it worse, and has had it longer! But still, it’s HOT out. It’s the humidity that gets to me more. Right now, it’s 88 degrees here, which isn’t as bad as it could be, but it’s very humid. My clothes are sticking to me, and I’m sticking to the couch! I just went and rinsed off in the shower, and I’m already getting hot again.

Today was a good day off. Had my doctor’s appt. this morning, and my blood pressure is normal. Open-mouthed smile Wonder of wonders! And, on top of it, I’ve lost 4 pounds since my last visit to the drs. about 4 weeks ago. That makes 11 pounds total so far. I’m very happy with that – hope it continues. I’m walking pretty much every day so seems to be paying off so far.

Other than that, just normal stuff today. Worked around the house doing exciting stuff like loads of laundry and making spaghetti sauce in the crock pot. Harry and I made a quick trip to the mall tonight. He bought a storage kit to start cataloguing all of his various nuts, bolts, screws etc. and I bought a book called “Exploring America by RV.” According to the back of the book, it talks about 9 trips in regions from coast to coast and Alaska. So I’m looking forward to diving into that – maybe I’ll have some neat ideas to share. Smile

  1. It's a big country!

We woke up to a very chilly fog this morning. Everything is wet with dew and I have to wait a couple of hours until it is dry enough to paint.

California is always opposite the rest of the nation!

  2. I have that same book. It is put out by Frommers, the travel people.

I also their books from we went to Ireland and another one we used in Scotland.

I pull out the RV Book on occasion just to daydream. Enjoy your daydreaming too.

  3. Thanks Phyllis! That's definitely why I bought the book - for daydreaming! :) I have three years left of "virtual" traveling.
