Day One at the Rally

Today was a nice and relaxing day, even though the weather didn’t really cooperate. It was cool and rainy, and we spent much of the day indoors.

We started off with our usual morning cup of coffee. The cabin has a pretty comfortable couch in the living area.

Laurie and I got our morning fix of blog reading in while we enjoyed our coffee.

After a bit, Harry got busy making us breakfast! He’s got cooking bacon and eggs down to a science. Smile

It rained, sometimes lightly and at other times more steadily, pretty much until 3 o’clock or so. I had wanted to go for a walk, but it was too rainy for the part of the day that we were free. It was nice to relax though. I read a book and made monkey bread, which turned out great, if I do say so myself! Yum.

Later in the afternoon, we went over to the conference building for registration. We picked up our materials and then found a place at one of the tables.

There were all kinds of people hanging out, talking, and catching up.

At 6 pm, we had a delicious buffet meal, and then we did more sitting around and talking.

There was an icebreaker session to end the evening.

After the icebreaker, it was time to call it an evening. Tomorrow we will be starting the actual seminars. I am looking forward to learning more, and it is supposed to be warmer tomorrow as well!

Should be another great day!
