Yesterday was an exciting day! On top of finding out that our condo was soon to be empty, we also did some planning for our vacation in April. We will be driving down to Tennessee for the rv rally, but we will be leaving from MA instead of NY. Schaun’s 2nd birthday is that same weekend (of course!) so we will be going to MA first for his birthday celebration, and then leaving on Sunday for our vacation. So we spent some time yesterday finding a hotel for the trip down and the trip back – one night each way. Reserving those hotels made it seem so much closer. Hey, it’s only 3 months away! After all, it’s 2011 now.
Today was the usual Monday work day, with a little condo business thrown in. Harry went over this morning and checked it out. Other than a few cosmetic improvements we need to make, it is in pretty good shape. So we will be going over there for at least 2 or 3 weekends to get it back up to snuff. I also called to set up the electric service, and we made an appointment with a realtor for a walk through on Wednesday. We both feel so relieved to have the place empty again, and to be moving in the direction of getting it sold, even though we realize it could take a while. We are going to make an effort to really get it priced correctly this time – although we could end up losing a little of our own money at the closing, we would make it back up in only a few months. So we shall see how it goes! Wish us luck.
